PostHog packs the tools a product team usually buys separately into one platform: event analytics, session replay, feature flags, A/B experiments, surveys, error tracking, logs, a data warehouse and newer AI features. Each product meters independently with its own free monthly quota and its own price ladder, so you only pay for the modules you actually use, and PostHog says the large majority of companies stay entirely on the free tier.
Pricing is transparent and usage-based, with step-down rates (the more you use, the lower the per-unit cost) and hard billing limits you can set per product to avoid surprises. There are no per-seat fees, unlimited team members on every plan, and the option to self-host the open-source version.
The Free plan needs no credit card and includes generous monthly allowances (1M analytics events, 5K session recordings, 1M feature-flag requests, and more), 1 project and community support. Pay-as-you-go adds 6 projects, 7-year retention and email support, charging only for usage beyond the free tiers. Enterprise is custom.
