The rules for using SecondWing, in plain English: accounts, listings, paid plans, reviews, claims and sponsored placements.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and SecondWing (“SecondWing”, “we”), which runs the website at secondwing.io. By using the site, creating an account, submitting a product or buying a plan, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

[REGISTERED ENTITY: entity type and registration number, if any]
2. Accounts
- You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE: for example 18] years old to create an account.
- You can sign up with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done from your account.
- One person, one account. Votes and reviews that come from duplicate accounts are flagged and may not be counted or published.
- You can export your data or delete your account at any time in Account settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect.
3. Product listings
- Anyone can submit a product. You confirm that what you submit is accurate and that you have the right to submit it, including its name, logo and screenshots.
- We read the product's public website, with the help of AI, to draft its profile. You can correct the draft before it is reviewed.
- A person at SecondWing reviews every submission before it is published. We may ask for changes, decline a submission, or remove a listing that is inaccurate, unlawful or misleading.
- SecondWing also lists well-known products that were added by our team from public sources. A maker can claim such a listing (see “Claiming a listing”) or report incorrect information from the product page.
- Facts on a listing can be corrected by its owner in the dashboard, or by anyone through “Report incorrect information”.
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give SecondWing a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, display, format and distribute it as part of the service, including in our public data endpoints that search engines and AI systems read.
4. Paid listing plans
Listing a product is free. Paid plans add services on top. The current plans are:
- Free Listing: $0 (free). Get listed on SecondWing.
- Launch: $29 (one-time payment, in US dollars). Skip the queue and launch with 3 days of promotion.
- Launch + 7-Day Promotion: $49 (one-time payment, in US dollars). A week of sponsored placement and a researched review.
- Launch + 30-Day Promotion: $99 (one-time payment, in US dollars). A full month of sponsored placement.
The Pricing page lists exactly what each plan includes. The following applies to every paid plan:
- Payment is taken once, through Stripe. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
- Payment does not guarantee publication. A paid submission gets priority review, but it is reviewed like any other and can be sent back for changes or declined.
- A purchased promotion starts when the product is approved and published; promotion days are not used up while a submission waits for review. At most 10 sponsors are shown at a time, so when all places are taken a promotion starts on the next free date.
- A researched product review, where a plan includes one, is written by the SecondWing team. It describes what the product does; it is not written to order.
- Verification, awards, wings, user reviews and organic ranking cannot be bought and are not affected by what you pay.
- We make no promise about traffic, sales, search-engine ranking or how any AI system will treat your product.
Taxes: [TAXES: whether listed prices include GST or other taxes, and what invoice is issued]
5. Refunds
[REFUND POLICY: the refund window; what is refundable once priority review or a promotion has started; and what happens to the payment when a paid submission is declined]
To ask about a payment, write to [email protected] from the email address on your account and include the product name.
6. How sponsored placements are labelled
- A paid placement is always marked “Sponsored” wherever it appears: above listings, in the sidebar, in search results and in the newsletter.
- Sponsored placements sit alongside the organic results. They never change a product's organic rank, its trending position, its awards or its search relevance.
- Website links on free listings carry rel="nofollow". A paid plan's direct website link is marked rel="sponsored", which tells search engines it is a paid link.
- Reviews written by the SecondWing team are labelled as editorial and kept separate from community reviews.
7. Reviews and wings
Reviews are for people who have used the product. When you write one:
- You must be signed in. Each person can review a product once.
- Write from your own experience, honestly. Give a rating from 1 to 5, a title and at least a few sentences.
- You cannot review your own product or a product you submitted.
- Every review is checked by a moderator before it is published. You may attach proof of use; only moderators see it, and it is deleted after the decision.
- A second account reviewing the same product from the same browser is blocked. Reviews from brand-new accounts or shared networks are flagged for the moderator.
- No spam, abuse, personal attacks, private information about others, or content you do not have the right to post.
- We may decline or remove a review that breaks these rules. Anyone can report a review from the product page.
Wings are votes. Give them only to products you want to support, from one account. Votes that look automated or coordinated are flagged and do not count.
8. Claiming a listing
- Only an owner, founder, employee or authorised representative of a product may claim its listing.
- A claim is a request. It is approved by a SecondWing moderator, who may ask for evidence, and submitting one does not guarantee approval.
- You can also prove control of the product's website by placing your personal SecondWing badge on its homepage. Where that proof is clear, the claim can be approved automatically; otherwise a moderator decides.
- The “owner verified” tick means the maker proved they control the product's website. It cannot be bought.
- A product has one verified publisher at a time. Competing claims are reviewed on their merits.
- A claim gives you control of the listing on SecondWing. It is not a legal finding about who owns the product or its trademarks.
- We may reject or revoke a claim if authorisation cannot be established or conflicting claims arise. Revoking a claim does not remove the listing or its reviews.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false or misleading product information, or impersonate a person or company;
- manipulate votes, reviews, views or rankings, or pay or reward anyone to do so;
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site;
- upload malware or content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.
Automated access is welcome on the public pages and on the JSON endpoints described on the Developers page, within the limit of 120 requests per minute per network address. Please send a descriptive User-Agent, follow robots.txt, and link back to the product's page on SecondWing when you cite our data.
10. Content and trademarks
Product names, logos and screenshots belong to their owners and are shown to identify the products. A listing on SecondWing does not mean the product or its maker endorses us, or that we endorse it. The site's own design, text and software belong to SecondWing.
If you believe something on the site infringes your rights or is wrong, use “Report incorrect information” on the page concerned or write to [email protected].
11. Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using SecondWing and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, that breaks these terms or the law. Products you listed can stay published after your account is closed, without a link to you.
12. Disclaimers and liability
Product information on SecondWing comes from makers, public sources and automated research, and can be out of date or wrong. Check a product's own website before you rely on its price or features.
[WARRANTY AND LIABILITY LIMIT: the warranty disclaimer, and the most SecondWing can be liable for, for example the amount paid in the previous 12 months]
13. Governing law and disputes
[GOVERNING LAW AND COURTS: for example the laws of India and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka]
14. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. [NOTICE OF CHANGES: how many days' notice is given before changed terms apply]
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected], or see the Contact page.
