Open-source password manager with a free plan
Open-source password manager with a free plan, low-cost paid plans, SSO and SCIM for business, and self-hosting.
An open-source password manager with a free plan for unlimited devices and items, low-cost Premium and Families plans, business plans with SSO and SCIM, and an option to self-host.
Bitwarden is an open-source password manager for individuals, families and businesses. It stores passwords and passkeys in an encrypted vault that syncs across devices, and it can run in Bitwarden's cloud or on a company's own servers.
Bitwarden's free plan covers unlimited devices and vault items, including passkey management, which makes it usable long-term without paying. Premium adds an integrated authenticator for two-factor codes, encrypted file attachments, emergency access, a phishing blocker and security reports, and Families extends premium features to six people with unlimited sharing.
Business plans add secure credential sharing, event logs, directory sync and SCIM provisioning (Teams), and granular access control, passwordless SSO integration, account recovery, self-hosting and a free Families plan for every user (Enterprise). Bitwarden Send shares text or files through encrypted links, and can now restrict access to approved email addresses.
A separate product, Bitwarden Secrets Manager, stores API keys, database passwords and certificates for development teams and delivers them to machines through a CLI and SDKs. It has its own free, Teams and Enterprise plans.
Bitwarden runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, in major browsers through extensions, on the web vault and from the command line.
Unlimited devices and vault items, including passkeys, at no cost.
The codebase is open source, and Enterprise customers can self-host.
Premium is $19.80 a year and Families $47.88 a year for six people.
A separate product for machine secrets, with a free tier for small teams.
